Facial Plastic Surgeons are Educated and Trained to Specifically Address Your Face

Although many individuals are familiar with various plastic surgery procedures and treatments, the nuances of facial plastic surgery may be less well-known. With that said, how important is it to understand the intricacies associated with the duties performed by facial plastic surgeons? If you’ve ever considered receiving a facelift, mini facelift, rhinoplasty or even facial injectables, it’s not only beneficial to understand the scope of facial plastic surgery; it’s equally important to get to know your surgeon – read on to learn why.

Facial Plastic Surgeons are Educated and Trained to Specifically Address Your Face

Facial Plastic Surgeons

You would no sooner consult a heart surgeon to perform brain surgery (or vice versa), so why, then, when seeking a surgery specifically focused on the face, would you seek the hand of any plastic surgeon when you could receive the surgical expertise of a facial plastic surgeon?

Facial plastic surgeons perform a number of procedures, but because they undergo specialized training solely dealing with the face and neck, they are experts in the following procedures:

  • Facelift
  • Mini Facelift
  • Ear Surgery
  • Eye Surgery
  • Rhinoplasty
  • Facial Injectables
  • Skin Resurfacing and Rejuvenation

In addition to the list above, facial plastic surgeons routinely perform corrective and reconstructive surgery as well as other nonsurgical services associated with the face. Education and training in a specialty area are inarguably a necessity for anyone considering a facial plastic surgery procedure … but there’s more to consider. How well do you know your facial plastic surgeon and do you feel comfortable with him or her?
